මහජන සන්නිවේදනය (Public Communication)

  Public Communication

Public communication is ,

  Public Communication

Communication to a group of people is public communication .

This includes public meetings , lectures , various celebrations , etc. In public communication , although the communicator and the receiver are visible and can hear each other, the SPE does not have a communicative function .

Technological tools are often used in public communication .

For public communication to be successful , the receiver must be able to grasp the message being presented by the communicator . In public communication, it can be difficult to properly interpret the feedback received , and the feedback itself is limited .

Mass communication is largely carried out not in private gathering places such as homes , offices , etc. but in places where the general public can gather , such as auditoriums , public sports halls , and conference halls .

Mass communication can be used to inform or persuade a group of people about a certain matter , or to provide entertainment , pleasure , or refreshment .

Ø  Ex : Election rallies

Ø                    Musical performances

The communication carried out in public communication differs from that in mass communication .

Benefits of mass communication

    1.    To cause to express an opinion .
    2.       Being able to attract the attention of various parties
    3.       Helping to build counter - images
    4.       Can be used to raise awareness about the issues presented
    5.     Being able to motivate a group of people for a specific purpose
